The Temecula hills and rolling greens were the backdrop of Adrienne and Joe’s wedding day. They were married on a HOT, October day, with wispy white clouds floating in a bright, blue sky above them, surrounded by their loving families and friends. There were tons of DIY decorations, a daughter bridesmaid and sons for groomsmen, family, past, present and future saturated their day with LOVE, not to mention ALOHA. I was happy to be present and a puzzle piece of the day, as Adrienne and Joe’s photographer, and I was even welcomed to dine with part of the family for dinner! Congratulations to everyone and all my best wishes!
This is my third season as a San Diego wedding photographer, my eighth year in the portrait photography business, and Adrienne and Joe were my last wedding of 2014. Thank you for letting me capture images that would story tell your day with photography. I hope you enjoy your portraits and candid images of your day!

During part duex of my couple’s engagement session we went to the ocean. When I say engagement session, I mean literally they got engaged in front of my camera! It was a moment I was honored to be present for and to document. Since I was raised in Encinitas I know all the beaches, their character and what they’re like on high and low tides. We lucked out with a low tide and a colorful sunset. It was a beautiful time to be at the beach.
A new location a quick wardrobe change makes for more photographic fun.
Congrats again Amanda and Joel!
I would love to hear your comments and questions about my photography. Feel free to give me a ring with questions or comments anytime, or to book your own session. Do you know anyone that’s been engaged this year? Send them my way, I’d love to help start them out on their process of planning their wedding.
Last weekend I was asked to photograph a marriage proposal. It’s the second one I’ve been honored to photograph. It was a sweet and simple plan set to go down at one of my favorite places in Encinitas that I still call “Quail Gardens.” I had to be a little sneaky before the proposal happened, which wasn’t too long, thankfully, and I think I pulled it off with style. Shortly there after, I don’t think he could wait another minute without her. There was surprise. There was excitement. There was definite LOVE and HAPPINESS.
It was a gorgeous day in San Diego and we enjoyed a lot of the beautiful spots in the Botanic Gardens and then headed down to the beach to do photography at sunset. I felt so lucky to share the afternoon with these two and the beginnings of the next chapter in their relationship. Congratulations to you both!
And that’s just part 1 of the Proposal shoot! Very excited for these two and their upcoming wedding!
